Confidential bank in Riyadh seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations Transformation to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall bank operations in a cost-effective & efficient manner within the established timeframes and banking standards in compliance with regulatory provisions. The job holder should highly focus on bank operations transformation and digitise the process to increase its productivity. Also plays a role in strategic direction for all bank operations and maintaining the Bank's positions following the Bank’s overall directions and strategies, so that the business achieves its full potential and remains competitive.


Strategy:

  • Develop the broad functional strategy and ensure that the vision, mission, and strategy are cascaded down to the departments to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration of all functional strategies.
  • Contribute to defining the Bank's overall strategic priorities and ensure translation and alignment of Management Implementation (MI) plans with objectives & targets of the divisions, functions, areas/departments/teams, and individuals.


Automation & Digital Transformation:

  • Improve the efficiency of operational activities by making automation & digital transformation, which leads to better productivity.
  • Enhance operational activities by utilising new technology to drive innovation and develop new business models which will help to streamline the tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce cost.
  • Lead and direct the change through continuous improvement/enhancement of functional systems, processes and practices considering best practices.


Operations:

  • Oversee support and services for the operations (Retail Assets Operations, Treasury & Corporate Operations, Payment Operations, Cash & Clearing, Operations Review & Quality and Trade Operations) to ensure the delivery of the operations cost-effectively within the established timeframes and banking standards and in compliance with regulatory provisions.
  • Support & guide Operations Excellence & Process Reengineering by monitoring and ensuring the implementation of Quality standards along with re-engineering, fine-tuning and standardising the bank processes and procedures using market best practices and in alignment with bank strategy.
  • Oversee Operations Control activities by ensuring all financial activities are carried out accurately and timely in line with international accounting standards, SAMA Guidelines, bank policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all banking operations to comply with SAMA regulations, Anti Money Laundering rules, Office of Foreign Assets Control List, and others as applicable to protect the bank's legal position.


Budgets:

  • Oversee the consolidation and recommend budgets and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory
  • Performance is identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.


Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures: 

  • Direct the development and oversee the implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service consistently.


EH&S Focus: 

  • Ensure all risk management, compliance and internal control policies and guidelines are followed within the division, including closure of internal/external audit and SAMA observations.
