Job Title: Associate Director, Investor Relationships & Business DevelopmentLocation: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director, Investor Relations & Business Development to lead capital raising and institutional investor engagement efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and large, institutionalized family offices in the UAE or KSA, with a focus on alternative investment products across private equity, private credit, real assets, and hedge funds.
Key Responsibilities:Business Development & Fundraising: Develop and execute a strategic investor coverage plan, targeting institutional investors and large family offices for alternative investment products.Investor Relationship Management: Build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, banks, and large family offices.Market Intelligence & Coverage: Stay informed on market trends, investor preferences, and macroeconomic factors impacting institutional allocations within alternative investments in the region.Origination & Distribution: Lead fundraising efforts for new and existing funds, leveraging a strong investor network to secure commitments and drive AUM growth.Investor Due Diligence & Structuring: Manage investor due diligence processes, respond to inquiries, and work closely with internal teams to tailor investment solutions that align with investor mandates.Thought Leadership & Brand Positioning: Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor forums, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership in alternative investments.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with investment, product, and marketing teams to develop compelling investment solutions and targeted sales materials that align with investor interests.Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements for investor engagement and fundraising activities across the UAE and KSA.
Key Qualifications & Experience:7-10 years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital introduction, or business development within asset management, private equity, investment banking, or a related financial services sector.Strong existing network of institutional investors and family offices, particularly within the UAE and KSA.Proven track record in raising capital from institutional investors and family offices for alternative investment products.Deep understanding of private markets, alternative investment strategies, and institutional investor allocations.Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to engage in investment discussions with sophisticated investors.Fluent in English; Arabic is highly desirable.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
