Opportunity to join a leading international law firm looking to hire a junior Contentious Construction Associate into its established and busy Middle East practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ–3PQE lawyer to build specialist experience across complex, high-value construction and infrastructure disputes throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia and wider GCC.
About the role
The role will offer exposure to:
- International arbitration and construction-related litigation
- Major infrastructure, energy, utilities and real estate disputes
- Delay, disruption, variations, defects, EOT, payment and termination claims
- FIDIC and other standard and bespoke construction contracts
- Drafting pleadings, submissions and dispute correspondence
- Working closely with technical, delay and quantum experts
- Major regional projects involving developers, employers, contractors and other project participants
The successful candidate will work directly with experienced Middle East disputes Partners and senior lawyers, with early responsibility, client exposure and the opportunity to develop within a genuinely busy and growing construction disputes practice.
Requirements
- Relevant contentious construction or international arbitration experience gained at a leading Legal 500 UK, international or strong regional firm
- Lawyers with a relevant disputes training seat and a clear interest in specialising in construction would also be considered
- Open to candidates already based in the Middle East as well as strong UK qualified lawyers with Legal 500 law firm experience looking to relocate to Dubai
