Role Overview
The Lead Human Capital Business Partner will act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior business leaders, providing comprehensive Human Capital expertise across the assigned business areas. The role will partner closely with leadership and key stakeholders to translate the organisation's Human Capital strategy into practical initiatives, while driving workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance management and broader people strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Human Capital & Business Partnering: Partner with senior leadership to understand business priorities and translate them into effective Human Capital strategies and initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all Human Capital matters, providing commercially focused advice and solutions.
- Support the effective cascading of the Human Capital strategy into business and operating plans.
- Provide subject matter expertise across the full employee lifecycle and support leaders in achieving Human Capital and operational excellence.
- Develop and monitor relevant Human Capital KPIs and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Analyse Human Capital trends and dashboards to identify opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, line managers and employees to improve engagement, productivity and retention.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with senior leadership to identify current and future workforce and talent requirements.
- Lead workforce analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to optimise organisational capability and Human Capital resources.
- Monitor workforce metrics and recruitment lifecycle effectiveness, ensuring alignment between workforce plans and business objectives.
- Support workforce planning and related budget requirements across assigned business areas.
- Talent Management & Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's talent management strategy.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams on critical hiring requirements, succession planning and leadership development.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical and future roles.
- Support initiatives focused on attracting, developing and retaining high-performing talent.
- Identify skills gaps and work with relevant stakeholders to develop appropriate talent solutions.
- Partner with business leaders to embed a strong talent-focused culture.
- Identify learning and development requirements and support the delivery of targeted development programmes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of learning initiatives and recommend improvements where required.
- Employee Relations: Provide expert guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution and grievances.
- Support the resolution of complex employee relations cases in partnership with relevant specialist Human Capital teams.
- Ensure employee concerns, complaints and grievances are addressed fairly, consistently and in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation.
- Coach and advise managers on effective employee relations and people management practices.
- Performance Management: Lead and oversee the end-to-end performance management cycle across assigned business areas.
- Support managers with goal setting, performance reviews, feedback and performance improvement processes.
- Contribute to the development and effective implementation of KPIs and performance frameworks.
- Promote a culture of continuous performance improvement and accountability.
- Compensation & Benefits: Support the development and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits strategies.
- Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis, providing recommendations to ensure market competitiveness.
- Support salary review and bonus processes across assigned business areas.
- Provide strategic advice on employee benefits and reward programmes.
- Monitor market trends and best practices to ensure the organisation's reward offering remains competitive and aligned with business requirements.
- Policies, Processes & Compliance: Ensure effective implementation of Human Capital policies, procedures and controls.
- Remain up to date with relevant employment legislation and regulatory requirements and advise leadership on key developments.
- Identify opportunities to improve Human Capital policies, processes and employee experience.
- Support the implementation and communication of new policies and act as a change champion across the business.
- Ensure Human Capital practices remain compliant, consistent and aligned with organisational requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with executive leadership, department heads, line managers and employees.
- Act as a key liaison between Human Capital and business leadership, ensuring alignment between people and business strategies.
- Collaborate closely with specialist Human Capital functions including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Relations and other relevant teams.
- Maintain relationships with external Human Capital professionals, industry experts and relevant financial services organisations to understand market trends and best practice.
- Continuous Improvement & Risk: Identify opportunities to improve Human Capital systems, processes and practices, with a focus on organisational effectiveness, productivity and cost efficiency.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the Human Capital function.
- Support the effective implementation of corporate policies, processes and controls relating to risk management and business continuity.
- Ensure Human Capital activities are aligned with relevant regulatory and business continuity requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree minimum qualification
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HR
- CIPD Preferred
- Must be willing to relocate or already be located in Abu Dhabi
