Purpose of the Role
To deliver specialised strategic financial advisory services, expert insights, and independent financial analysis that support institutional and executive decision-making across the business. The role is responsible for conducting advanced financial assessments, risk evaluations, feasibility studies, and financial impact analyses related to strategic initiatives, major projects, and investment opportunities.
The position plays a critical role in strengthening financial sustainability, enhancing institutional and investment performance, optimising resource allocation, and supporting sustainable revenue growth across the Authority and its subsidiaries.
In addition, the role requires extensive expertise in financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks governing financial markets, ensuring robust oversight of compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements within the United Arab Emirates. This includes ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, safeguarding institutional integrity, and embedding international best practices across financial and governance processes.
The role further supports strategic planning and decision-making by providing independent financial perspectives, evaluating commercial and investment risks, and ensuring that financial strategies are aligned with the businesses long-term objectives and operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Advisory• Provide strategic financial advice on major initiatives, investments, transformation programmes, partnerships, privatisation, and IPO readiness, supporting executive decision-making through financial analysis, scenario modelling, and risk assessments• Deliver recommendations on capital structure, funding, investment feasibility, financial sustainability, and emerging economic and regulatory trends• Develop financial models, valuations, and risk mitigation strategies to support executive leadership and Board decisions
Executive Decision Support• Review strategic financial proposals, memoranda, and reports, providing analytical insights and executive recommendations• Prepare high-level financial reports, scenario analyses, and impact assessments to support strategic decisions and portfolio oversight
Governance, Risk & Compliance• Provide advisory support on financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with applicable UAE financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks• Assess financial and regulatory risks and recommend governance improvements aligned with international best practices
Financial Transformation & Performance• Support financial transformation initiatives, including AI, automation, and digital technologies, while enhancing executive reporting, KPIs, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency
Nature of WorkA strategic advisory role requiring close engagement with executive leadership, regulators, subsidiaries, and key stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and support for executive and Board-level decision-making.
Qualifications
• CFA Level III – Financial Analysis & Investment.• Certified Management Accountant (CMA).• Advanced International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS Advanced)• Specialized certifications in governance, compliance, or taxation• Financial Risk Manager (FRM)• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).• Chartered Accountant (CA).
