Job Purpose:
I am partnering with a leading construction and infrastructure group in their search for a Group Chief Financial Officer, widely recognised for delivering landmark projects across infrastructure, industrial, and building sectors that are shaping the region’s long-term development across the Middle East.
The role will act as a trusted strategic partner to the Group CEO and Board, driving financial resilience, optimising capital allocation, strengthening governance, and enabling sustainable, long-term value creation.
The position requires deep expertise in EPC project finance, large-scale cash and liquidity management, joint venture structuring, and enterprise-wide financial transformation within complex, multi-jurisdictional operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & LeadershipDefine and lead Group financial strategy aligned with growth and regional expansionAdvise the CEO and Board on financial, commercial, and investment decisionsDrive value creation through capital allocation, portfolio optimisation, and transformation
Planning, Performance & ReportingLead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across all entitiesConsolidate Group performance and deliver insights to leadershipEnsure IFRS-compliant reporting, strong controls, and audit readinessStrengthen performance frameworks linked to key operational KPIs
Treasury & Capital ManagementOversee liquidity, cash flow, and working capital across the GroupManage banking relationships, funding, and capital structure optimisationLead cash flow forecasting for large-scale EPC project requirements
EPC & Commercial OversightGovern financial control of EPC and infrastructure projects end-to-endOversee budgeting, cost control, revenue recognition, and margin protectionManage claims, variations, and contractual entitlements
M&A, JVs & InvestmentsLead M&A, joint ventures, due diligence, and deal structuringDefine investment frameworks aligned with strategic returnsOversee valuation, integration, and partnership governance
Risk, Governance & ComplianceEstablish enterprise risk and governance frameworksEnsure regulatory, tax, and statutory compliance across jurisdictionsStrengthen internal controls and support IPO readiness

EducationBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplineProfessional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) is requiredMBA or executive education from a reputable institution is preferredAdditional qualifications in corporate finance, investment management, or capital markets are advantageous
ExperienceMinimum 20 years of progressive finance experienceAt least 10–12 years in senior leadership roles (CFO / Group Finance Director level)Extensive experience within construction, infrastructure, or project-based industriesProven track record managing large, multi-entity, multi-country organisations (AED 10B+ revenue scale)Strong expertise in EPC project finance, treasury, and capital structuringDemonstrated success in M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investmentsExperience in financial modelling, PPP structures, and international operations preferredExposure to IPO preparation, capital markets, or listed environments highly desirableExperience leading complex organisations with large-scale workforce and operational footprintStrong background in investor relations, fundraising, and engagement with banks and financial institutions
