Director, Marketing & Corporate Communication (Dubai | Confidential UAE Government entity)A rare, high-profile leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), owning the end-to-end marketing, brand, media and corporate communications agenda for one of Dubai’s most visible public-facing authorities. The remit is enterprise-wide: set the strategy, govern the corporate identity, and ensure unified messaging and public engagement across multiple sectors and services.
What you’ll leadDefine and deliver the overarching Marketing and Corporate Communication strategy aligned to Dubai Government priorities.Own corporate identity governance (brand architecture, naming conventions, service presentation standards) and approve annual plans across the organisation.Drive major awareness campaigns spanning public/mass transportation adoption, traffic safety, and community engagement.Lead media relations, public relations, sponsorship, events, digital marketing, advertising, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity—protecting and enhancing reputation at scale.Oversee communications for major projects impacting public mobility, including timely updates, stakeholder coordination, and targeted communications for affected communities.Build a data-driven communications culture using feedback, sentiment analysis, and digital engagement insights; embed governance and continuous improvement.Why it’s compellingHuge public visibility and stakeholder complexity (government entities, media, partners, international delegations).Material impact on major programmes, including projects valued above AED 250 million.What they’re looking forA senior marketing/communications leader with 16+ years’ experience (typically 18+ with a Bachelor’s degree), comfortable operating at CEO level in complex, high-scrutiny environments.Strong capability across brand governance, large-scale campaigns, media leadership, digital reputation, and performance management via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Certifications such as Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
