Director – Financing & OriginationLocation: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
OverviewA leading bank in Riyadh is seeking to appoint a Director across its Corporate Finance & Debt Advisory platform. This is a front-facing origination and execution role focused on building and expanding the private-side debt advisory business, with coverage across project finance, corporate financing, syndications, and securitization.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the franchise, leading transactions end-to-end, and contributing to the broader build-out of the platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrigination & Business DevelopmentLead business development efforts across corporate and project finance mandates.Originate new advisory and arrangement opportunities across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.Develop relationships with corporates, government-related entities, sovereign-backed institutions, real estate funds, and asset managers.Build and maintain relationships with international and regional banks, institutional investors, and debt providers.Drive fundraising initiatives independent of the parent bank’s balance sheet.
Execution & Transaction LeadershipLead execution of debt advisory and capital raising mandates including:Project financeCorporate financingSyndicationsSecuritizationSovereign and quasi-sovereign related financing structuresOversee financial modelling, structuring, and credit analysis.Advise clients on strategic capital structure solutions and funding strategies.Manage loan and bond documentation processes.Structure leveraged funding solutions (including raising leverage against sovereign bonds and deploying into fund structures for enhanced returns).
Credit & StructuringStrong understanding of credit from a loan and bond perspective.Ability to assess balance sheets and advise on optimal credit scaling and capital structuring.Experience structuring debt instruments for corporates, projects, and government entities.
Team LeadershipManage and mentor junior team members (2 direct reports).Contribute to building and strengthening the debt advisory platform.Collaborate with broader investment banking and corporate finance teams.

Candidate ProfileExperience10–15+ years of experience within:Corporate FinanceDebt AdvisoryProject FinanceStructured FinanceSyndicationsBackground from a top-tier international or regional bank preferred.Demonstrated track record of originating and executing transactions.Experience advising corporates, projects, and government entities on fundraising activities.Exposure to both: Strategic advisory mandates, Debt arrangement / placement businessStrong VP / Senior VP candidates with proven origination capability may also be considered.
