Overview:
We are seeking a multidisciplinary Smart City Solutions Designer to design integrated technology-driven solutions that enhance urban living. In this role, you will work with both government and private sector clients to develop and implement strategies that integrate AI, advanced analytics, and automation across the Smart City value chain.
Key Responsibilities:Design solutions that address urban challenges using IoT, AI, and data analytics.Develop scalable smart city concepts in areas such as logistics, traffic management, energy systems, waste management, water distribution, public safety, and citizen engagement.Ensure interoperability and integration of new solutions with existing infrastructure.Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and ROI analyses for designed solutions.Translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.Work closely with infrastructure, urban planning, and technology teams to design integrated Smart City solutions.Advise clients on innovative use cases, vendor-agnostic technical solution design, and implementation roadmap.Consult with customers to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities that drive personalized, proactive, and seamless customer interactions.
Qualifications and Experience:Minimum 15 years of total professional experience.Proven experience in Smart City consulting.Familiarity with MEA market dynamics, particularly in KSA.Strong understanding of emerging technologies (IoT, AI, data platforms, digital twins) and their application to city environments.Adequate knowledge of ICT infrastructure supporting smart city solutions, including network, compute, and storage requirements.Strong understanding of AI-based solutions for Smart Cities, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing AI-enabled urban systems.Track record of delivering transformation programs within government or large-scale urban development projects.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science engineering, Technology, or related fields; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
This is a one year contract (renewable) to be based onsite in Riyadh
