Key Responsibilities:Deal Sourcing & Screening:Identify and assess potential investment opportunities in the tech space, including inbound deals, outbound sourcing, and industry networking.Investment Due Diligence:Conduct in-depth market research, financial analysis, competitor benchmarking, and product/tech reviews to support investment decision-making.Transaction Execution:Assist in the preparation of investment memos, deal structuring, valuation modeling, and internal approvals. Work closely with legal and finance teams through to deal close.Portfolio Support:Support portfolio companies with strategy, fundraising, performance tracking, and value creation initiatives. Act as a liaison between founders and the investment team.Market Intelligence:Stay current on technology trends, startup ecosystems, emerging markets, and regional innovation hubs. Attend demo days, pitch competitions, and startup events.Internal Reporting:Help prepare investment committee materials, fund performance reports, and LP updates.
Qualifications:2–4 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, strategy consulting, or at a high-growth tech startup.Strong financial modeling, analytical, and research skills.Passion for startups, emerging tech, and the VC ecosystem.Proven ability to think critically, assess business models, and engage with entrepreneurs.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA or CFA is a plus but not required.
