About The Job:
The Senior Platform Owner Data leads a team of Data practitioners – Senior Data Engineers, Data Engineers, Senior Analytics Platform Specialists and Analytics Platform Specialists. The role is mainly operational, ensuring the data platforms are well-managed and meeting performance requirements and user needs.
The role also is required to ensure architectural standards and patterns are defined and adhered to and optimize the data ingestion process.
The Senior Platform Owner Data is responsible and accountable for data platforms, the efficient running of Hadoop, SAP HANA, Informatica administration, SAS and Microsoft Power BI. The role is required to work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders.
We need candidates who have worked on Hadoop, Cloudera, Hana, and Informatica platforms. Someone who can design, build, and maintain Data platforms.
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the Banking & Finance industry.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Warehouse and Analytics.
• Knowledge/exposure to Modern Data Warehouse Architecture and Analytics platforms.
• Agile working practices.
• 2 years of Data Engineering experience or analytics experience.
• 2 years experience in DevOps, CI/CD.
• 5 years experience managing large teams >8.
• 4+ years of working experience with ETL tool, preferably Informatica.
• Solid knowledge of Data Warehouse principles.
• 5 years’ Experience working with Hadoop or HANA.
• Experience working with Hadoop-related tools e.g. Spark.
• 2 years’ Experience working in Agile teams as part of a squad.
• 2 years’ Experience in technical aspects of Data Governance including a glossary, metadata, data quality, master data management & data lifecycle management.
• Should have excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Clear and demonstrative communication.
• Drive Innovation and continuous improvement.
• Self-learner, continues to update their skills and knowledge base.
Education:
• Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent.
• Relevant Certification.
These roles are full-time permanent contracts based in Dubai, UAE.
