The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has launched an initiative to increase the employment of Saudi Nationals in the private sector. As part of this effort, private sector companies with five or more employees are required to achieve a Saudization ratio of 50% by December 2023.
As the company continues to grow and expand, they seek to bring on several senior leaders to the team, including a "Data Development Senior Manager" with a Banking Domain.
The Data Development Senior Manager plays a crucial role in enabling the development and transformation of data engineering and reporting practices with operational effectiveness to optimize value from consumed data solutions. The right candidate should have at least 10 years or more relevant experience beyond the first degree, with a background working in different Multinational Banks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in a Data Development / Business Intelligence environment focused on delivering value.
- Proven ability to work at the senior level in large teams & organizations.
- Data engineering experience with big data technologies and platforms.
- 5+ years of technical leadership, project delivery and operations management across data engineering and reporting.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Accountable for data engineering operations and reporting services within D&A CoEand data automation solutions.
- Develop and lead a highly effective team of data engineers, and BI developers to drive data-driven business outcomes.
- Engage with senior management and other teams on data platform roadmap to leverage full investment; ensure fully secure, scalable big data environment capability availability.
- Coordinate with peers within D&A CoEand outside to structure, prioritize data needs and provide guidance to its team on managing demand for data engineering and report development.
- Champions the advocacy and adoption of enterprise data lake, self-service for reporting.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on delivery for all aspects of data engineering and report implementation projects.
- Lead operational decision-making in data engineering and reporting for optimal outcomes.
- Responsible for defining, measuring, monitoring, and reporting key performance metrics to Chief Data Officer to support D&A strategic objectives.
- Work with project management vertical to adhere to project SDLC disciplines.
- Responsible and accountable for adhering to all design and development standards.
Expertise in Data Engineering & Business Intelligence environment focused on delivery solutions.
We need a data development expert who can develop and lead a highly effective team of around 20 data engineers, and BI developers to drive data-driven business outcomes.
