Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee field development plan studies, ensuring compliance with company standards, rigor, and technical quality.

2. Champion the application of technical standards and best practices across Group companies.

3. Facilitate the adherence to standards and guidelines within Group Companies, promoting efficiency and value alignment.

4. Lead the evaluation and testing of commercial reservoir simulators, affiliated software, and analytical tools to recommend cost-effective technical software.

5. Offer hands-on support for reservoir modeling, simulation development, and related projects.

6. Review reservoir study reports, recommending techniques and actions to enhance field development plans and data gathering programs.

7. Advise on reservoir modeling, software considerations, R&D, reservoir technology, hydrocarbon reserves, and reservoir management.

8. Ensure a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach is adopted in all reservoir engineering endeavors.

9. Contribute to the creation of standards for knowledge, competency, and resource allocation strategy, fostering a stimulating learning environment.

10. Aid in shaping operational plans, budget requirements, and departmental strategies.

11. Participate in policy, procedure, and system development in line with best practices and company standards.

12. Recommend internal process enhancements for alignment with ISO standards and industry best practices.

13. Engage actively in both internal and external audits for the department.


Contract duration - 12months + possible extensions

Work location - Onsite Abu Dhabi


Qualification and Years of Experience:

• Master's degree in Reservoir Engineering or a related field.

• 5-10 years of experience in subsurface Reservoir Engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of related disciplines such as geology, geophysics, and reservoir management.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in classical reservoir engineering analytical methods.

• Acquaintance with reservoir engineering software like Eclipse, VIP; modeling tools such as Petrel and RMS; PVT software, and integrated production management tools like MBAL and Prosper.

• Ability to perform basic simulation modeling with experience in advanced modeling techniques.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of representing the company at internal and external engagements.

• Self-driven with a penchant for innovative problem-solving. Demonstrates resilience against challenging problems and tight deadlines.
