Head of IT Audit

Aventus has recently been mandated by a leading Financial Services entity to hire a Head of IT Audit to join their growing team

Key Responsibilities:

1. Developing and implementing IT audit plans, procedures, and standards in accordance with banking regulations and industry best practices.
2. Overseeing and conducting risk assessments of the bank's IT systems, processes, and controls to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
3. Ensuring IT audit projects are completed within budget and on schedule, and that all audit findings and recommendations are communicated to senior management in a timely manner.
4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and other functional areas to ensure IT audit is aligned with the overall risk management strategy of the organization.
5. Staying current with emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory developments in the banking industry to ensure that the IT audit function is equipped to address current and future challenges.
6. Mentoring, coaching, and developing a high-performing IT audit team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
3. A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT audit, risk management, or related field in the banking/ financial services sector.
4. Good understanding of SAMA regulatory requirements.
5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Familiarity with banking regulations and industry best practices.
